Calla Lily Bouquets
There are so many ways you can arrange calla lilies for your bridesmaids and yourself. You’ll want to carry an exquisite collection of blooms that you’ll always remember, but one thing to consider first is that calla lilies drip. So, before allowing anyone to carry them, dip the stems in wax and allow time for the wax to set. This will prevent any spotting on expensive gowns.
Choose your color from among the many gorgeous colors and hues that calla lilies come in. Nature has provided a rainbow to select from. You can go dark and sensuous or light and innocent. Shades range from a black-purple royal color to a sweet cream white. Orange, red, brown, yellow—go as wild or as soft as you desire.
Once you’ve selected the colors you and your bridesmaids will carry, it’s time to think about the arrangement or your bouquets. You will want your bouquet to stand out, but you also want it to coordinate with the attendants.
Wrapped in Ribbon
If you’re doing your bouquet yourself to save cash, this arrangement is easy to create. Take a bunch of long-stemmed lilies and form them into a chunky bouquet. You can use as few as three but as many as twenty will make a stunning impact. Once they are grouped together as you like them, tie a wide satin ribbon in your theme color up under the blooms.
The wider and more elaborate the ribbon, the more impact your bouquet will have. If you want to go subtle, choose a wide but gossamer see-through ribbon. This will create a sweet bouquet. Your bridesmaids can carry shorter stemmed versions in a different shade of your chosen color.
How to Make Wedding Flowers (Calla Lily)
Surrounded by Leaves
Your florist can provide you with large leaves that
can accent the lilies in your bouquet. Take a group of lilies in hand and place
leaves all around them at varying heights. The leaves should encircle the whole
bouquet and give it a garden feel. There is a website out there now called Designedbythebride.com which allows you to design your own bouquet.
The wider the leaves, the better the
arrangement. You can fold the leaves back and tack them down for an exotic,
flowing feel. Tie with ribbon to finish. Next up, don't miss your chance to jazz up your bouquet with some bouquet jewelry and other sparkly items.

Bejeweled
What’s to stop you from using faux jewels in your bouquet? Find giant pearl button earrings or stick pins that have large baubles on them. Stick them inside the lilies for a sparkle. Tie your bouquet with a faux pearl necklace or beads for a dazzling presentation. Buttons and tie tacks also work well. You can leave a trail of ribbon flowing off your bouquet and stagger it with pins and craft jewels.

Bottled Blooms
For a really different display, save old bottles in a color that matches your scheme. Blue, brown or even clear bottles will all work well. Inside each bottle, place one long-stemmed lily. Group a bunch of bottles together for maximum impact, but don’t forget to fill them with water.
Additional touches might include ribbon, glitter, rocks/stones, and/or colored water to match your flowers. There are so many ways to make these customized centerpieces pop.

The Fishbowl
Arrange one large glass fish bowl (with a pedestal or without) at the center of each table. Fill with water. Add one or two cropped lily stems. You can choose to add live betta fish that a guest can take home, or you can simply fill with river stones or colored rocks from a craft store. The lilies will look stunning if you add only one or two for accent.
The Candle Creation
There’s so much you can do with candles and lilies.
Arrange floating candles in a low bowl with a donut shape and fill with water.
Inside the hole, place a tall, clear vase with colored water (use food coloring
that matches your theme). Add several long stemmed calla lilies. When the
reception starts, have all the candles lit for a gorgeous presentation. Accent your table with calla lily wedding favors for the final details.
These beautiful flowers can add an amazing touch to such a special days. How will you use yours?
